New FCC Proposals On Robocalls & Spam Texts

The Federal Communications Commission is considering two new proposals to help stop robocalls and spam text. One would establish a database of recently reassigned or disconnected numbers to – it’s thought – cut down on the number of calls to those numbers. The second proposal would say that carriers have the legal right to block spam texts, something many already do. The FCC will vote on these December 12th although it’s not clear if they’d do any real good in stopping billions of robocalls & texts.
